There are hiking trails as you first enter the park. if there happens to be an event (wedding, butterfly festival, etc) you can tell the gate you are part of that event and you may not have to pay. Beware! Parking on local streets and walking in is a risky gamble! Most of the streets are permit only. The cost to get in with a car is steep - but the fee is not only for Out of State license plates, it is for anyone not from New Haven!ģ. Things I haven’t seen mentioned in other reviews include:ġ.
